1. The ASA at SUA will be an organization committed to cultural, intellectual, economic, and political
awareness about the African continent.
2. The organization will create a space for students from Africa, students of African descent
or students interested in matters concerning the continent of Africa to build community

Membership Benefits
1. ASA shall be open to all students who identify as African, as of African descent or students who are
interested in matters affecting the continent of Africa.
2. All members shall contribute to community building activities through participation and through
assistance in organizing.
3. All members shall be placed into leadership groups for community building and organizational
purposes: It is a membership requirement.
4. All members will have a say in all decisions taken by the organization.
