SSU Theme 2025-2026
Lions, All In, All Together
“Lions” - SUA Students
The lion, SUA’s official mascot, symbolizes courage, strength, and care. As Lions, we call on all SUA students to join in working together toward this vision.
“All In” - Foster A Sense of Belonging
Everyone wants to feel at home. We hear that some students wish to feel more connected, involved, and at peace. These feelings are essential for navigating the challenges of college life with joy—especially amidst rigorous academics and homesickness. As student leaders, we see it as our fundamental responsibility to ensure every student can comfortably navigate their college experiences. This commitment is especially important given today’s climate of uncertainty that weighs heavily on students. In response, we want to help students feel connected, supported, and hopeful to create a strong, caring community. By fostering this strong sense of connectedness, we hope students will feel more empowered to engage with the SUA community, discovering deeper meaning, joy, and satisfaction in their SUA journey.

“All Together” - Promote Bonds and Friendships
Year after year, students express a strong desire to expand their network of friends. Yet many are unsure how to take the first step. 'All Together' encourages students to take a small but crucial step with courage, such as starting a conversation with someone new, joining a club activity, or sharing a meal with peers from different backgrounds. We believe each of us can practice in our own unique way to connect with others beyond differences. Ultimately, we envision students interacting with one another with genuine curiosity, openness, and the courage to embrace difference, building lasting friendships and memories. To support this, the SLA team is planning campus-wide events where students come together through fun games, sports, and food.

Together, through “All In” and “All Together,” we strive to make SUA a place that feels like a second home for every student, where belonging and friendship are not just ideals, but everyday realities.
