Alcohol-wise Module

As part of our comprehensive education program, Soka University of America requires each first-year student to complete Alcohol-Wise. Alcohol-Wise is an online alcohol prevention and personal assessment program designed to increase your knowledge of your own personal use and the effects of alcohol consumption. Alcohol-Wise takes approximately one hour to complete.

Sexual Violence Prevention Module

Soka has partnered with Vector Solutions to provide online training courses so students may better understand the topics of consent, dating and domestic violence, bystander intervention, and healthy relationships.

Follow these easy steps to complete your training requirements:

  • Using your web browser, go to https://sokastudents-ca.safecolleges.com/
  • Enter your username: your soka.edu email address
  • Complete all course content and take the final assessment (students must score an 80% on the assessment to pass the course)

The full course will take between 80-100 minutes to complete.

First Year Survey

As part of our ongoing effort to keep improving SUA’s curriculum, every year we conduct the First-Year Survey to gauge how academically prepared our first-year students are. It is critical that you answer honestly. Because this survey is completely anonymous, no one will know who answered what for each question. We are simply interested in finding out the general trend of our first-year students’ academic preparedness. So, it’s ok and normal to mark a low number on the scale provided if you think you haven’t mastered the particular academic skill being asked.
